lPersonal profile
Liya ZHOU associate professor, got her PhD specialized in textile engineering at College of Textiles, Donghua University in 2007. She used to study and work at Institute of Textiles, Hongkong Polytechnic University as a research assistant during the years of 2003 to 2006, and work at division of textiles, SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. on the post of senior technical consultant and then project manager during 2007 to 2009. Now she serves as academic staff at Department of Knitting & Clothing, College of Textiles, Donghua University (DHU) since 2009 with 16 published research papers. Her research interests focus on functional knitted fabric and product design and development, such as moisture management, and their intelligential objective and subjective testing and evaluation, supply chain quality control, designing and matching of fashion knitwears, among which, the research project ‘Research on mechanisms of fabric tactile thermo-sensation based on fiber hygroscopicity’ is supported by both the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, China and National Natural Science Foundation of China.
